1/2/12 - Nottingham starts the year with new of more high scores! - The editors of Wine Enthusiast Magazine have awarded NC two more 90 point scores!  One for the 2009 Micro-Lot Reserve Cabernet Sauvignon, the other for the 2009 Vineyard Designate Cabernet Sauvignon (VDCS) from Casa De Vinas.  Both entries also earned a Cellar Selections notation - the magazine's nod to wines built for longer aging.  Nottingham Cellars also received scores of 89 points on its 2010 Chardonnay, 2009 VDCS Wisner Vineyard,88 Points on VDCS Del Arroyo Vineyard and 86 Points on its Livermore Valley Cabernet Sauvignon.  The VDCS Cabs are available for presale to club members only and will become available after Feb 24. The 2010 Chard will be available in April.  Scores for the wines will be published in various issues between February and March.

9/20/11 - Supremacy Gets a 90 Point Score! - We learned that our Bordeaux Style Red Blend, v2008 Supremacy, received a 90 point score from the editors at Wine Enthusiast Magazine!  The wine is scheduled for release on 9/23.  Other scores include 87 points on our 2009 Petite Sirah, Casa De Vinas, and 89 point scores on our 2009 Chardonnay, 2008 Reserve Cab, 2009 Reserve Petite Sirah, and 2008 Ralphi's Red Blend.  Not bad for our first go around!  The Score and review will be published in the December 1st issue, and will be available online at winemag.com in December.

8/1/11 - Nottingham Pays Homage to Petite Sirah – What better time to release the Reserve PS than the weekend after the week 50th Anniversary Celebration of Petite Sirah as a varietal.  Nottingham got much attention in the past weekends festivities.  Winemaker Collin Cranor was asked to pour and talk about his award winning Petite Sirah at “Petite Sirah on the Rails”.  Later, a follow up dinner was held at McGrail Vineyards and Winery on Greenville where guests got a chance to taste the 2009 Casa De Vinas Petite, as well as its “Big Brother” the Reserve, being released this weekend.


 7/21/11 - Nottingham Cellars took home "Judges Best Pairing" at Livermore Valley's Taste of Terroir.  The 2009 Aguirre Vineyard Malbec, paired with a Lamb Meatball Skewer with a Chipotle Malbec Reduction sauce created by Chef Cesar at the Wild Vine Hideaway Lounge in Danville won the judges over with its simplicty and compatibility.  The Malbec, being released this weekend, has already taken home medals at both Finger Lakes International and SF International Wine Competitions.  Addressing the crowd after taking his award, Winemaker Collin Cranor thanked the dedicated growers and the Livermore Valley winemakers that are taking strides to push the envelope on making quality wines.

  

7/04/11 - Another 100% showing at one of the Nation's largest competitions.  Nottingham Cellars went Four for Four at SF International Wine Competition taking home silver medals on on 2009 Petite Sirah Reserve from Casa De Vinas and our 2008 Supremacy.  Both wines have now taken home Gold and Silver medals at multiple competitions held in the US.  Look for the Petite on August 6th, and the Supremacy September 24th.  Both wines have already taken home major accolades in their youth.

Happening All Month Long at Handles - Nottingham Named Featured Winery at Handles in February – Nottingham Cellars has partnered with Handles On Main in Pleasanton to bring you the Nottingham Tap-Stravaganza.  The new Pleasanton Hot-Spot will feature five wines from Nottingham on tap and by the bottle every day, all month long.  Chef Bryan Hampton put together an AMAZING 5 course pairing that is available Thursday –Saturday for the rest of the month.

Sunday, February 12, 2012 - Valentines on Vasco - Come on down to Vasco Rd and visit Nottingham Cellars, Occasio and Longevity for Valentines on Vasco.  The three wineries will be featuring sweets treats for you and yours. 

Friday, February 24, 2012 - Vineyard Designate Cabenet Series Launch Event - Join us in the cellar for an evening of music and tapas in celebration of the inaugural release of our Vineyard Designate Cabernet Series Wines. Winemaker Collin Cranor will discuss each vineyard and its importance in the program.

This event is exclusive to Nottingham Cellars Club Members and their guests. As a club member, you get two complimentary tickets if you RSVP by February 10th. Additional tickets may be purchased for your guests for $50 per person.

Only 48 cases of each wine were produced. An allotment form will be mailed to club members with a formal invitation in January that must be mailed back by February 17th.
Sunday, March 4th, 2012 - March Madness! - Join us at Nottingham for a March Madness Event!  Put on by the same folks who brought you the Lipstick Ladies Tour, Nottingham will host vendors with something for the girls and guys.  Swing Analysis by Ruby Hill Golf Pro Joe Gile and Raiders Memorabilia from former Raider Legend John Vella for him, Stella and Dot, Danville Chocolates and Purple Orchid Massage Therapist for her!  Great time in the cellar to be had by all.  Check back soon for more information.
