2019 Unoaked Chardonnay

A style of Chardonnay gaining more attention here in California is the Unoaked Chardonnay. Seeing only stainless steel tanks this wine offers a very genuine expression of what the Wente Clone Chardonnay grape tastes of. This wine is zesty with notes of granny smith apple and chamomile. On the palate, the weight of the wine rests in the cheeks and mid-palate. All leading into a lively finish consisting of lime zest, Asian pear, and dried parsley. Serve ice cold and enjoy!
