Our Vineyard Designate Cabernet Sauvignon wines are produced to showcase the distinctions of the finest Cabernet vineyards in the Livermore Valley. Only the best sites and the best fruit from each particular vintage are chosen to stand alone bearing the Vineyard Designate label and their signature red band.
Smith Ranch Cabernet Sauvignon has quickly emerged as one of our favorite of our Vineyard Designate Program, and the 2014 does not disappoint. An expressive wine from the first pour, this Cabernet has rich red fruit, dark cherries and chocolate aromatics which are met by more floral tones of rose petal as the wine breathes. Smooth and rich across the palate, the wine will only get better with age, but is perfect to enjoy now. A good decanting will go a long way with this wine if you can't wait... we don't blame you.
