It is with great pride that we introduce the inaugural vintage of JHC – a 100% Cabernet Sauvignon from the Livermore Valley. This wine was composed by putting our best 6 barrels of Cabernet Sauvignon from the vintage together to create the base of Supremacy and removing two of six to offer our best 100% Cabernet Sauvignon. JHC is Owner/Winemaker's father, Jeff Cranor's initials. Jeff has always been partial to Cabernet Sauvignon, and Collin "cut my teeth on some of my dad’s wines from the ‘glory years’, mid 90’s to early 2000’s before California took a turn for the ‘big’." A blend of 60% Smith Ranch and 40% Sachau Vineyard, Collin created this wine in his father’s name to showcase Livermore Valley’s ability to create classic, age worthy Cab Sauv. Collin believes he is fortunate to taste wines that caught Jeff's attention in his younger years and was kind enough to share.

Harvested between Sept 21st - Oct 20th, 2015. Destemmed without crushing into open bins and bbls. Inoculated with both native and commercial yeast. Both lots pressed and coopered separately post primary with ml in barrel.
