Nottingham Cellars Micro-Lot Reserve wines are produced from the finest vineyards in the Livermore Valley that showcase the regions ability to grow world class Bordeaux Varieties. Each variety is site specific and was chosen as one of our finest offerings available.
The second year of our “right bank” inspired red blend, with Sachau Vineyard Merlot leading the way accompanied by Smith Ranch Cabernet Sauvignon and Casa de Vinas Cab Franc. While still very much in its youth, this style wine is brand new to Nottingham and we could not wait any longer to get it out into the world!! Created by our Assistant Winemaker Alex Wolfe, this namesake blend is complex, structured and is enjoyable now or can lay down for years to come!
Harvested between September 20th and October 17th. Destemmed without crushing and fermented in 100% open top bins with hand punchdowns. Inoculated with various commercial yeasts. All lots pressed & coopered separately post primary with ML in barrel. Coopered in 50% new French oak, 25% 2nd use American and 25% 2nd use Hungarian.
